In the process of PTMS magnetic separator, it is obvious that the ore particles are affected by two forces at the same time. The other is the mechanical force, which includes the particle gravity, centrifugal force, inertial force, fluid resistance, friction, suction and repulsion between particles. And the hydrodynamic resistance of the separating medium, which prevents the ore particles from being sucked into the cylinder.

PTMS magnetic separator process is essentially a process in which magnetic and mechanical forces compete with each other for ore particles. Strong magnetic particles, by the magnetic force, can overcome the mechanical force, that is, magnetic dominance: for non-magnetic or magnetic very weak particles, because they are not affected by or by a small magnetic force, by the mechanical force dominant.
