Magnetic separation is a very effective method to remove iron impurities in quartz sand. In the glass manufacturing industry, if the iron content of quartz sand is too high, it will lead to the green glass and affect the quality of glass.
When the iron impurities are adsorbed on the magnetic pole, the separation operation is performed. In a well-designed PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, the magnetic impurities on the magnetic pole can be easily separate to leave the quartz sand in the magnetic separator. For example, some magnetic separator machines cleverly change the direction of the magnetic field or mechanical devices, so that the iron impurities adsorbed on the magnetic pole fall off, into a special collection device.
After the separation is complete, the quartz sand needs to be checked and cleaned. Through visual inspection, if the purity requirement is high, chemical analysis and other methods will also be used to ensure that most or all of the iron impurities in quartz sand are removed by PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR to meet the purity requirements. If the purity is insufficient, the magnetic selection step is repeated.
