The dried quartz sand is put into PTMS magnetic separator to remove iron, and then added into the impregnation tank. The acid (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid or hydrofluoric acid) used for acid leaching is quickly added under dry and high temperature conditions. The concentration of acid is 5%-20%, and the temperature is stirred at 30℃-100℃ for 2-24 hours to remove the trace metal and non-metal impurities in the quartz sand fine powder. Acid leaching is one of the important processes in purification of high purity quartz sand.
PTMS magnetic separator must be used to remove iron in both the preparation of quartz glass for electric light source and the preparation of quartz raw materials for photovoltaic and semiconductor devices. Acid leaching is mainly to remove metal oxides dissolved in acid and some silicate minerals as well as trace impurities such as soluble aluminum and iron in ore.
After roasting water crushing, picking, and separation by high-intensity MAGNETIC PTMS magnetic separator, most oxides and impurity minerals have been removed, but some oxides and impurity minerals are located in grain boundaries, micro-cracks and crystals, so it is difficult to remove them. Therefore, acid leaching for a long time is used to remove such impurities. Of course, the process may be adjusted appropriately according to the condition of raw ore in order to achieve the purpose, such as two pickling, early acid leaching, in short, in order to make high purity quartz, can use the means as far as possible, can think of the way as far as possible. Some processes will add ultrasonic and other processes to ensure the pickling effect.
