The iron grade of an iron ore is 56.36%, which mainly exists in the form of germelmonite, and the gangue minerals are mainly quartz and bauxite. The suspended magnetization roasting-PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR process was used for the iron ore. The magnetization roasting was carried out under the condition of-0.074mm 56.11%, the roasting temperature of 560℃, the total air volume of 500 mL/min, the CO concentration of 30%, and the reduction time of 15min, and then the magnetic separation was carried out. Magnetic roasting enhances the magnetism of germelmonite, and then separates the enhanced iron mineral from the gangue mineral by magnetic separation.
The results show that the suspended magnetization roasting-PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR process has a good separation effect for the mainly albrimonite. Through magnetization and roasting, the originally weak magnetic brimonite is transformed into a strong magnetic mineral, which can be effectively separated in the magnetic separation process, and then the grade and recovery rate of iron concentrate are improved. However, this process has strict requirements on experimental conditions, such as roasting temperature, gas volume, reduction time and other parameters need to be accurately controlled. If these parameters deviate, it may affect the effect of magnetization roasting, and then affect the separation effect of magnetic separation.
