If it is required to be further used as ultra-high purity quartz, it is necessary to acid leaching the impurities on the surface of quartz particles in the form of spots and inclusions. According to the requirements of different industrial uses of quartz with different impurities (Fe, AL, Ti, Cr), mixed acid leaching of different concentrations and proportions. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.
The silica content of a quartzite ore is 99.76% and contains fine inclusions. The main impurities such as Fe, AL and Ti exist in the form of clay minerals and iron oxides. High purity quartz with silica content above 99.99% was obtained after the process of rod friction washing, desliming, separation by PTMS magnetic separator, flotation and acid leaching.
