How are mineral particles separated in PTMS magnetic separator
Time: Aug 04,2023

Quartz Processing line

Magnetic separation is carried out according to the difference in the magnetic properties of mineral particles. The mineral particles are separated in PTMS magnetic separator: when the mineral particles and gangue particles pass through the magnetic field of the magnetic separator, because the magnetic properties of the mineral particles are not the same, under the effect of the magnetic field, their movement path is not the same. Magnetic ore particles are attracted by the magnetic force, attached to the cylinder of the magnetic separator, followed by the cylinder is taken to a certain height, out of the magnetic field from the cylinder using high pressure washing water washed down.

PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR

The non-magnetic gangue particles are not attracted by the magnetic force in the PTMS magnetic separator magnetic field, so they cannot be attached to the cylinder, so as to obtain two kinds of commodities, one is the magnetic commodity into the concentrate box, and the other is the magnetic commodity into the tailings box. In the process of magnetic separation, ore particles are subjected to a variety of forces, in addition to magnetic force, gravity, centrifugal force, water effect force and friction.

how to separate two magnets?

When the magnetic force of the magnetic particle is greater than the sum of other forces, PTMS magnetic separator will be sucked out or violated from the material flow, becoming a magnetic commodity, the rest is a non-magnetic commodity, to complete the separation of different magnetic minerals.
