Scrubbing method is mainly to remove the thin film iron, bond and muddy impurities on the surface of quartz sand by means of mechanical force and grinding and stripping force between sand grains, and further wipe the mineral aggregates that have not become monomer, and then achieve the effect of further purification of quartz sand by PTMS magnetic separator through grading operation.
Quartz sand scrubbing method is mainly rod friction scrubbing and mechanical scrubbing two methods. For mechanical scrubbing method, the factors affecting the scrubbing effect are mainly from the structural characteristics and configuration form of scrubbing machine, followed by technological factors, including scrubbing time and scrubbing concentration. The results show that the scrubbing concentration of quartz sand ore is between 50% and 60%, but the effect of quartz PTMS magnetic separator is also improved to a certain extent.
In principle, the scrubbing time is based on the initial quality requirements of the product and should not be too long. Too long time will increase equipment wear, improve energy consumption and increase the cost of separation and purification of PTMS magnetic separator. For some quartz ore, mechanical scrubbing and erasing effect is not ideal, can use rod friction washing, if necessary, can be added to increase the electrical repulsion of impurity minerals and quartz particles on the surface, enhance the separation effect between impurity minerals and quartz particles.
