Magnetization roasting is an effective method to change the volume magnetism of weak magnetic oxide iron and manganese minerals (hematite, limonite, siderite, iron and manganese ore). It is the process of physical and chemical reaction in the corresponding atmosphere after heating the ore to a certain temperature. After magnetization and roasting, the magnetism of iron minerals is significantly enhanced, while the magnetism of manganese minerals changes little, and the magnetism of gangue minerals is basically unchanged.
Then the magnetic separation can be effectively separated using PTMS magnetic separation equipment. For example, for some weak magnetic iron ore, the magnetization roasting is carried out first to transform it into a strong magnetic mineral, and then the conventional magnetic separation equipment (such as permanent magnet cylinder magnetic separation machine) is used for sorting.
Dry magnetic separation accuracy may be relatively wet magnetic separation slightly lower, because in the dry environment, mineral particles are vulnerable to the interference of factors such as airflow, dust, and for weak magnetic mineral separation is difficult, need high magnetic field strength of dry magnetic separation equipment (such as dry induction roller PTMS magnetic separation) to achieve better separation effect.
