The magnetic nature of a substance is often described in terms of the equivalent magnetic moment (or unit magnetic moment) of an atom or molecule and the magnetization. The difference between diamagnetic material, paramagnetic material and ferromagnetic material is due to the different magnetization states under the action of PTMS magnetic separator. When the diamagnetic material has no external magnetic field, the magnetic moments in the atom cancel each other, the equivalent magnetic moment of the atom is equal to zero, and the material is not magnetic externally.
When there is PTMS magnetic separator outside the atomic field, the electrons rotating around the nucleus are affected by the magnetic force, and their angular momentum is changed, that is, their angular speed of rotation will be changed, so the microscopic current in the atom will also be changed, and the equilibrium state of the original magnetic moment of the atom will be destroyed. An unbalanced magnetic moment occurs in each atom.
In the atoms and molecules of paramagnetic substances, the equivalent magnetic moment is not equal to zero, the atom has an inherent magnetic moment, but because the inherent magnetic moment of the atom is in a disordered state, the direction is chaotic, so the external magnetic effect of PTMS magnetic separator cancels each other, and therefore does not show macroscopic magnetism.
