The magnetic separation process is also affected by the specific gravity difference between magnetic minerals and non-alkaline minerals in the treated material. According to the different conditions of the magnetic separation process of various PTMS magnetic separators, although specific gravity conditions are opposite, but may promote the separation of magnetic and non-magnetic minerals, may also hinder the separation of magnetic and non-magnetic minerals. The wet magnetic separation process of strong magnetic ore and the dry and wet magnetic separation process of magnetic ore can be used to deal with the particle size of the material not more than 6 ~ 8 mm. The treated kaolin, potassium sodium feldspar, quartz sand and other materials increase their specific surface area with the decrease of particle size, so in the dry magnetic separation between the ore particles due to the adhesion of the ore particles caused by the increase of specific friction. If the direction of the magnetic force is opposite to the direction of gravity, the non-magnetic particles will no longer be mixed with the magnetic particles in the magnetic part only when the gravity of the particles is greater than the friction between the particles due to the adhesion of the particles. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3). Therefore, the minimum particle size of the material to be processed should be limited. Denotes the relationship between the separation result of the mixed material of 50% hematite and 50% quartz and the particle size of the material. It can be seen from the curve that when the particle size of the material is lower than 0.1-0.15 mm, the separation index (hematite content and recovery rate in the magnetic part) is greatly reduced.
