After making a detailed and in-depth record of a quartz purification, the creative purification process of using high efficiency and strong scrubbing, grading desiling and PTMS magnetic separator is summarized and achieved success.
This process is to improve the structure of existing scrubbing equipment and optimize the technical parameters. More than 80% of impurity iron and aluminum ore can be removed by high efficiency scrubbing, grading desliming and PTMS magnetic separator separation. Magnetic separation is mainly to remove impurity minerals containing iron.
After the separation process of PTMS magnetic separator, the high quality refined quartz sand of silica ≥99.8%, ferric oxide ≤0.023%, alumina ≤0.05% and titanium dioxide ≤0.02% can be obtained, which meets the requirements of sand for first class optical glass, and the yield of fine sand is as high as 73%, while the yield of rod friction washing is only 49%. The recovery rate of silica was 72.8%. Further check and acid leaching treatment, can obtain silica ≥99.9%, ferric oxide ≤0.005%, alumina ≤0.05%, titanium dioxide ≤0.02% of high purity quartz, the use of this process, to overcome the iron secondary pollution caused by rod friction washing, low yield shortcomings.
