The design of the feeding system is crucial to ensure that the material enters the PTMS uniformly. In large permanent magnet cylindrical PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, due to the long cylinder, the material not only has a wide range of particle size, but also some materials are semi-dry and wet, which brings great challenges to the design of the feeding system.
The mechanical structure and sorting principle of the new type of permanent magnet strong magnetic field PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, which uses a top feeding method, require a single layer of material to achieve optimal sorting results. This is because a single layer ensures that the material is evenly distributed on the cylinder's surface, allowing it to be fully influenced by the magnetic field, thus enhancing magnetic separation efficiency. If the material is piled in multiple layers, some materials may not fully interact with the magnetic field, thereby affecting the sorting performance.
Therefore, the feeding system must ensure uniform feeding over a wide surface without causing blockages. To achieve this, we conducted an in-depth study of the structure and working principles of the feeding system. We designed a special feeding device for PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, which uses vibration and stirring to maintain a uniformly dispersed material during feeding.
