In addition to the undissociated union affecting the product purity, some monomer magnetic particles are mixed into the non-magnetic products and some monomer non-magnetic particles are mixed into the magnetic products. In the former case, the recovery rate of magnetic components decreases. The main reason is that the particle size of these magnetic particles is too fine, and the magnetic force is not enough to overcome the competitiveness of fluid resistance.
The latter situation leads to the decline of magnetic product grade, mostly due to the existence of strong interaction between particles, the finer particle size, the greater slurry concentration, the more obvious interaction between particles. The magnetic coil magnetizes the core and pole of the PTMS magnetic separator, creating a magnetic field around it.
The magnetic field between the magnetic poles magnetizes the ore particles, showing magnetism, and then produces magnetic force; However, non-magnetic particles can only receive weak magnetic force that can not be observed by the naked eye, resulting in the separation of magnetic and non-magnetic particles. Therefore, further understanding of the magnetization of a substance, including the structure of the magnetic substance, its behavior in the magnetic field and the measurement of its magnetization degree, is essential to understanding the nature of the PTMS magnetic separator process.
