At present, strontium ferrite magnetic steel and Neodymium ferroboron magnetic steel are generally used in the magnetic system of PTMS Electromagnetic Separator. Among them, Neodymium Ferroboron magnetic steel has poor chemical stability. In the humid air in the magnetic drum, the phenomenon of gradual surface oxidation and delamination is prone to occur. Strontium ferrite has good chemical stability, and strontium ferrite magnetic steel is generally bonded with epoxy resin into magnetic groups and fixed in the magnetic system, and there is also a phenomenon that the magnetic block is easy to fall off.
Therefore, it is necessary to fix both strontium ferrite magnetic steel and NdFeb magnetic steel, so when strengthening the protection against PTMS Electromagnetic Separator, it is necessary to use PVC coating to wrap the drum and adhesive to bond the PVC coating, which can greatly improve the service life of the drum.
