In order to obtain a good magnetic separation index, the roasting process must be carried out under the best roasting temperature, the best reducing agent concentration and the correct ore cooling system. Because the calcined ore particles have large remanent magnetism and high coercivity, it is easy to agglomerate. Therefore, suitable demagnetizer should be selected according to the coercivity of alternative mineral in subsequent classification and PTMS magnetic separator operation. In this process the vibrating screen plays a role that cannot be ignored.
The magnetic separation process is determined not only by the PTMS magnetic separator parameters, but also by the properties of the ore being treated. The main properties of the ore affecting the magnetic separation process of iron ore dressing equipment are: the magnetization coefficient of the selected mineral, the weight and relative particle size, particle size characteristics, the content of magnetic components, moisture and the shape and state of the surface of the ore particle, etc.
