The cylinder, a crucial component of the PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, plays a vital role in the magnetic separation process by supporting materials and providing the magnetic field area. The manufacturing of the cylinder must meet the requirements for both magnetic field gradient and stiffness, which is a challenging task. Due to the high magnetic field gradient of the extruded permanent magnet circuit, to ensure that magnetic minerals are better influenced by the magnetic field, the stainless steel cylinder should be as thin as possible.
A thin cylinder can reduce the attenuation of the magnetic field, making it more effective in acting on the material. However, the stiffness of a thin cylinder may not meet operational requirements. During the operation of the PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR, the cylinder must withstand various forces, including material impact and friction. If the cylinder's stiffness is insufficient, it may deform, affecting the normal operation of the magnetic separator.
In order to solve this contradiction, we optimized the structure and material of the cylinder through a large number of experiments and mechanical processing methods. Under the condition that the wall thickness of the cylinder is 0.5mm, we made the PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR cylinder have enough stiffness to meet the working needs through special processing technology and structural design.
