Introducing oxygen-enriched air (typically boosting the oxygen content to 23%-30%) has become a pivotal solution for upgrading the iron removal system in PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR. This oxygen enrichment significantly increases the theoretical temperature at the air inlet, enhancing both the reaction rate and uniformity of the powder. As a result, it enables a higher powder injection ratio, reaching up to 200kg/t of molten iron, while effectively reducing energy consumption.
A major integrated mining and processing enterprise upgraded its blast furnace with an oxygen-enriched spraying system. The project included expanding the oxygen production station, optimizing powder conveying pipelines, modifying tuyere structures, and integrating the PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR iron removal system with the automated control system. After the upgrade, the blast furnace's average oxygen injection ratio improved from the original iron removal level, resulting in an 8.6% reduction in energy consumption and reaching a historic low.
This technology saves approximately 100,000 tons of standard coal annually, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 100,000 tons. More notably, as coal powder market prices have consistently remained around 60% of coke prices, enterprises achieve annual direct cost savings exceeding 10 million yuan in fuel procurement. With a payback period of less than three years, the iron removal system of PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR demonstrates remarkable economic benefits.
