Wet PTMS magnetic separator is a kind of magnetic separator commonly used in iron ore sorting plants. It is suitable for separating strong magnetic minerals. According to the structure of the tank, the magnetic separator is divided into three types: down-flow, counter-flow and semi-counter-flow. The selected particle size of three different tank types of magnetic separators is as follows: down-flow tank ≤6mm, counter-flow tank ≤1.5mm, semi-counter-flow tank ≤0.5mm.
The downstream PTMS magnetic separator has large processing capacity and is suitable for rough selection and selection of coarse-grained strong magnetic materials. It can also work in tandem with multiple sets. When the amount of ore is large, the magnetic ore particles are easy to lose in the tailings, so it is necessary to strengthen the operation management and control the lower pulp level.
The countercurrent PTMS magnetic separator is suitable for coarse separation and sweeping separation of fine strong magnetic minerals with higher recovery rate but lower concentrate grade. Because coarse material is easy to deposit and clog the sorting space, the countercurrent magnetic separator is not suitable for processing coarse material.
According to the classification of magnetic field strength can be divided into: weak magnetic separator, medium magnetic separator and strong magnetic separator.
According to the classification of the magnetic system can be divided into: open magnetic circuit magnetic separator, closed magnetic circuit magnetic separator.
