The mineral is attracted to the surface of the cylinder by PTMS magnetic separator and rotates with the cylinder. When the magnetic mineral particles rotate to the outlet of the magnetic system, because the magnetic force is weakened and the water is washed, the magnetic adsorption will be removed and then discharged into a concentrate. Non-magnetic mineral particles can not receive the effect of magnetic force, continue to remain in the pulp, and then discharged through the mine road as tailings.
In the process of magnetic separation of minerals, it can be clearly seen that the mineral particles are affected by two forces at the same time. One is the magnetic force, which makes the mineral particles adhere to the cylinder of PTMS magnetic separator, and the other is the mechanical force, which prevents the mineral particles from being adsorbed to the cylinder.
