The influence of the magnetic characteristics of strong magnetic minerals on the PTMS magnetic separator process is as follows: Once magnetized, magnetite particles retain remanent magnetism, when the particle size is finer. Particles attract each other to form magnetic clusters or chains. The magnetic group is not easy to disperse, and if it contains gangue particles, it will reduce the grade of the magnetic product. If there are magnetic groups in the feed ore of the classification operation, the efficiency of the classification will be reduced.
This is the adverse effect of magnetic agglomeration. In this case, a demagnetizer can be used to eliminate remanence and destroy magnetic agglomeration. Since highly magnetic minerals such as magnetite are highly magnetic, recycling them can be achieved with a lower PTMS magnetic separator field. If the monomer dissociation is not enough in the grinding process, there will be connected particles of magnetite and gangue.
Although gangue is mostly non-magnetic minerals, due to the strong magnetism of magnetite, the magnetic force it receives is enough to bring the gangue connected with it to the magnetic products, which reduces the grade of magnetic products. If this part of the union is to be separated from the magnetic product, it is necessary to use fine screen regrinding, flotation, PTMS magnetic separator or other separation methods.
